Avalue follows ISO 14064-1:2018, the Environmental Protection Agency's greenhouse gas inventory operation guidelines, and the company's internal greenhouse gas inventory management procedures to conduct greenhouse gas inventory operations. It uses the 'operational control method' as the basis for setting organizational boundaries and aggregating emissions to fully grasp the greenhouse gas emission situation at each operational site.

The scope covers Liancheng Headquarters, Lide Plant, and Taichung Office, and qualitative and quantitative reviews are conducted for Scope 1 (direct emissions), Scope 2 (energy indirect emissions), and some Scope 3 (other indirect emissions) to comprehensively grasp the main emission sources and risks.

The calculation of greenhouse gas emissions in this report book is based on the latest announcement by the Council of Environmental Protection on greenhouse gas emission coefficients; the global warming potential (GWP) is adopted from the values announced by the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) to ensure that the inventory results comply with international standards and domestic laws and regulations.

Furthermore, Avalue has introduced third-party verification institutions to conduct on-site verification to enhance the transparency and accuracy of greenhouse gas inventory data.

Avalue calculates greenhouse gas intensity using the base of 'total greenhouse gas emissions (metric tons CO2e) / revenue (in millions of RMB)' to assess the correlation between the company's operational activities and greenhouse gas emissions, and as an important management indicator for tracking carbon reduction achievements and improving operational efficiency.
