Local Communities

Avalue has long focused on social development and public issues and regards its positive impact on local communities as an important part of sustainable operations. Continuing the direction of its 2024 public-welfare initiatives, in 2025 the Company maintained cooperation with existing nonprofit partners while broadening its focus and deepening practical action in social care, public safety, education and empowerment, and biodiversity. By integrating corporate resources and collaborating with stakeholders, Avalue jointly advances the Sustainable Development Goals.

Overview Of Annual Public Welfare Contributions

The total amount of public welfare donations in 2025 by Avalue is NT$1,900,000. The main resources of public welfare cover the operating sites of the company in Taipei and New Taipei, and considering corporate social responsibility and public interests, extending attention to rural areas and ecologically sensitive regions, including Hualien, Taitung, and Kinmen. In addition to continuing to support the existing cooperative partners in 2024, this year also added multiple units related to ecological conservation and environmental concern, making the overall public welfare investment distribution more diverse, and further focusing on biodiversity and ecological protection issues to respond to international sustainable trends and social expectations.

Disaster Relief And Public Safety

Avalue continuously supports public safety and disaster prevention systems. We have donated to the Yuanshan Branch of the New Taipei City Fire Department to assist in upgrading firefighting and rescue equipment, thereby enhancing the operational safety and emergency response efficiency of frontline responders. This long-term commitment demonstrates our corporate support for social safety and public service infrastructure, directly responding to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).

Support For Vulnerable Groups And Social Support

Avalue continues its partnership with the Chinese Andrew Charity Association (Food Bank) by sponsoring food packages to help vulnerable families, youth aged 15 and under, and seniors aged 65 and above across Taiwan receive stable access to basic meals, thereby relieving their living pressures. In addition, the Company maintains its ongoing support for the Joyce Duerr Social Welfare Foundation in Changhua and the Hsuan-Kuan Love & Care Home in Nantou. Through long-term donations, Avalue assists in promoting facility construction and care services, providing stable and safe living support for individuals with disabilities. These initiatives align directly with SDGs 2: Zero Hunger and SDGs 3: Good Health and Well-being.

Childcare and Community Participation

Demonstrating our continuous care for underprivileged children and local communities, Avalue maintains its support for the Share Care Association. We donated festive and essential supplies for Children's Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, and the Ghost Festival. This year, our initiatives benefited 123 children in remote orphanages and 100 disadvantaged families. Integrated with the Avalue Employee Volunteer Program, our team helped organize a Taipei cultural experience trip for remote youth, broadening their learning horizons. Furthermore, through donations of rice and daily necessities, we supported nearby vulnerable households, reflecting our commitment to deep community engagement and social contribution in line with SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).

Educational Empowerment and Technological Learning

Avalue continues its collaboration with the Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT) Alumni Association, supporting a volunteer camp focused on AI self-driving robotics led by faculty and students from the Department of Electrical Engineering. Through specialized instruction and hands-on teaching materials, the program enables children in remote areas to access innovative technologies despite limited resources, sparking their learning motivation and bridging the educational divide between urban and rural areas. This educational initiative demonstrates our long-term commitment to talent development and innovative education, directly supporting SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).

Medical and Life Concern

In collaboration with the Taipei Blood Center, Avalue organizes biannual blood donation drives, encouraging employees to take concrete action under the motto, "A unit of blood given is a life saved." Through this direct and selfless contribution to bolstering medical blood supplies, Avalue demonstrates the collective power of the company and its workforce in serving society, directly aligning with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being).

Gender Equality and Employment Support

Avalue pays close attention to the structural factors that often force middle-aged and senior women out of the workforce during critical life stages, such as childbirth and family caregiving. Through a combination of corporate donations and employee contributions, Avalue supports the Spring Sprouts Social Innovation Development Association (Reed Female Power / Reed Empower) in advancing employment and social participation for middle-aged and senior women, helping them return to the workforce and build a stable livelihood. This initiative aligns with SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), while directly reflecting the core principles of multiculturalism and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) in sustainable development.

Biodiversity and Ecological Conservation

  • Kinmen Wildlife Conservation & Rescue
Due to its unique historical background and geographical environment, Kinmen preserves a rich and distinct biodiversity. However, recent increases in land development and tourism have impacted local wildlife habitats. Avalue contributed donations to the Kinmen Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Association to support food expenses for young birds and medical costs for protected species—including the Burmese python, Eurasian otter, and stranded Indo-Pacific finless porpoise. This practical support addresses wildlife rescue needs and directly aligns with SDG 14 (Life Below Water) and SDG 15 (Life on Land).
  • WildOne Wildlife Conservation Association
As the first non-profit wildlife hospital in eastern Taiwan, the WildOne Wildlife Conservation Association provides medical treatment and rehabilitation for wild animals while promoting local environmental education. Through Avalue's financial support, the association transforms actual injured wildlife cases into educational materials to raise public awareness of biodiversity issues, aligning with SDG 14 and SDG 15.
  • Endemic Species Research Institute - Wildlife Rescue and Research Center
Located in Nantou, the Wildlife Rescue and Research Center provides long-term triage, medical care, and release services for native wildlife, while extending ecological education into schools. Avalue's donations support its rescue operations and educational outreach, balancing ecological conservation with environmental education in alignment with SDG 15 (Life on Land) and SDG 4 (Quality Education).
  • Kuroshio Ocean Education Foundation
Avalue supports the Kuroshio Ocean Education Foundation in executing initiatives such as the "Ocean School" and the "Kuroshio Drift Project", safeguarding Taiwan's eastern coastal marine ecosystems and maritime culture. Through education and environmental monitoring, these efforts enhance public awareness and action toward ocean conservation, responding directly to SDG 14 (Life Below Water).
  • Society of Wilderness (SOW)
The Society of Wilderness (SOW) relies on volunteer action to protect natural habitats around urban areas and promote diverse ecological education activities. Avalue's donations support habitat protection and wetland restoration while offering employees opportunities to participate in educational environmental activities, aligning with SDG 15 (Life on Land). In 2025, SOW conducted a habitat protection project that mapped 90 wildlife habitats across Taiwan and monitored local fauna. Over 100 participants logged more than 15,000 observations, recording over 1,500 species.

Company Values and Social Impact

Through continuous and systematic philanthropic investments, Avalue not only deepens its cooperative relationships with local governments and non-profit organizations but also enhances employees' recognition and participation in corporate philanthropic actions, further strengthening organizational cohesion and corporate reputation. At the same time, philanthropic donations and equipment support help expand positive social impact, responding to investors and stakeholders' expectations for the company's sustainable performance.

Future Plans and Outlook

Avalue’s main operational sites are located within government-planned and managed technology parks. The daily operations of Avalue have relatively limited impacts on the surrounding communities. Matters such as land use, traffic, environmental protection, and public safety are managed and supervised by central and local supervisory authorities based on existing laws and regulations. Overall, the local community has a relatively mature public governance framework and administrative mechanisms, capable of effectively maintaining basic public service quality and community operation order.

Throughout the operational and construction planning processes, Avalue has always followed relevant laws and regulations of central and local governments and has applied for, reviewed, and reported according to the requirements of supervisory authorities. Avalue has not assumed or replaced the responsibilities of local or national institutions in community governance but rather operates within the existing institutional framework to ensure that related behaviors comply with legal requirements and social expectations. Through existing communication channels with the park management committee and supervisory authorities, Avalue can promptly grasp policies and management requirements and cooperate with relevant units when necessary to reduce potential impacts on local communities and maintain good neighborly relations and operational environment.

In community public welfare participation, Avalue has continuously cooperated with the park management committee to participate in the 'donate white rice to assist nearby vulnerable families' public welfare activities, assisting in providing basic living supplies to families in need in the surrounding area through corporate donations. This action is based on supporting community vulnerable groups, demonstrating Avalue's care and social responsibility for the local community, and also helping to strengthen the mutual trust relationship between Avalue and the park and nearby communities. In the future, Avalue will continue to participate in local public welfare actions in accordance with its operational characteristics and community needs through appropriate and specific methods, demonstrating the positive influence of enterprises.

For the planned new office building construction project, Avalue has required relevant design and construction units to strictly comply with environmental protection, architectural, and safety-related laws and regulations during the planning and construction stages, and to take measures such as traffic management, noise reduction during construction, and environmental maintenance to reduce potential impacts on the surrounding environment and residents during the construction period. The new building is expected to obtain a silver-level green building certification. In the future, it will reduce energy and water resource usage in the operation process through energy-saving design, water resource management, and green environmental planning, improving the surrounding environment, and demonstrating Avalue's commitment to environmental sustainability and local good coexistence.

In community communication and complaint mechanisms, Avalue currently does not have a dedicated independent complaint channel for local communities but has provided a channel for local communities to express opinions and reflect issues related to the matters under consideration through existing communication and management mechanisms. Regarding the new office building construction plan, Avalue has required contractors to set up a contact window during construction to serve as a main platform for receiving and responding to community opinions regarding traffic, noise, or environmental impacts during the construction period. Relevant feedback will be recorded and handled according to Avalue's internal procedures, and appropriate measures will be taken based on the situation.

Additionally, Avalue can also receive external stakeholder suggestions or feedback through official communication channels such as the main line and email and respond and handle them based on the nature of the issues by relevant units. Through the above diverse and existing communication methods, Avalue ensures that community opinions are appropriately received and responded to.

In environmental impact management, Avalue's operational activities do not involve the direct use of large amounts of natural resources. The main energy usage source is electricity. There are no significant direct emissions of pollutants during operational processes; relevant waste is managed according to regulations and is handed over to qualified professional waste disposal companies approved by the government for collection and disposal. The management practices have been explained in the environmental chapter of this report.
