To identify key stakeholders, Avalue adopted the AA1000 Stakeholder Engagement Standard (AA1000 SES) and applied its five core principles: dependency, responsibility, influence, diverse perspectives, and tension. A scoring-based questionnaire approach was implemented in alignment with these principles to ensure a robust and inclusive stakeholder identification process.
To further ensure the integrity of stakeholder identification, Avalue also incorporated the spirit of the GRI Standards, considering a comprehensive range of potential stakeholders. These included: shareholders and other investors, financial institutions, government agencies, employees and other workers, customers, consumers, business partners, suppliers, local communities, NGOs, social welfare organizations, and industry associations. In addition, references were made to both peer companies and the 2023 Avalue Sustainability Report to validate stakeholder categories.
An external expert team then assessed stakeholders based on Avalue’s actual and potential negative impacts, and positive influences on them. This multi-dimensional analysis informed a scoring process. A total of 26 valid questionnaires were collected for this round of AA1000 SES assessment. Stakeholder groups with a total score exceeding 10 points were preliminarily classified as key stakeholders.
Finally, the results and expert recommendations were consolidated and discussed with senior management, As a result, seven stakeholder groups were officially identified as Avalue’s key stakeholders for 2024: Employees and other workers, Business partners, Shareholders and other investors, Suppliers, Government, Customers, Financial institutions. This structured engagement process ensures that stakeholder perspectives are meaningfully integrated into Avalue’s sustainability strategies and reporting.
