    How to flash BIOS on EFI Shell environment (ECM-APL)

    Purpose

    Flash BIOS under EFI Shell environment for Intel Apollo Lake platform product series.

    Environment:

    M/B: ECM-APL-B1
    Software Environment: EFI Shell

    1. Copy BIOS file & Update tool & EFI folder to FAT32 USB stick.
    Note: The EFI folder need to put into root directory.

    2. Insert this USB stick and boot into BIOS Setup.
    3. To check the boot mode as UEFI boot.

    • BIOS Setup → Advanced → CSM Configuration
    • CSM Support: [Disabled]
    • Save & Reset

    4. After reset, it will boot into EFI Shell, change the directory to BIOS & flash tool directory of your USB stick. Please change directory to the folder of BIOS & update tool.

    5. Run flashfpt.nsh to start upgrade BIOS and ME firmware.

    6. Restart system.
    7. Boot into BIOS setup and check BIOS version.
