To prevent occupational disasters, Avalue has formulated a program for hazard identification and risk assessment, systematically identifying and evaluating occupational safety and health risks associated with the company's operational activities, work processes, workplace, equipment, and relevant personnel. The evaluation covers employees, subcontractors, and work environments, and is divided into routine and non-routine operations based on the nature of the work to ensure that all types of occupational hazards are included in the management scope.
In the hazard identification process, Avalue identifies potential hazard sources based on their operational content from each unit and conducts a safety and health impact analysis using the identification parameters to evaluate the likelihood, severity, and effectiveness of existing control measures for hazards that may occur. This allows for risk ranking, identifying risks that should be prioritized for control and opportunities for improvement. For risks identified in the hazard evaluation, Avalue follows control levels including elimination, substitution, engineering controls, work practices, and personal protective equipment to determine feasible and appropriate control measures. These measures are tracked, improved, and reviewed to ensure the effective implementation of risk control measures.
The routine occupational hazards identified by Avalue include operations involving equipment handling, equipment operation and rotation, warehouse moving, material stacking, business travel, and general daily office work. These operations may cause actual hazards such as musculoskeletal injuries from moving or handling materials, crushing injuries from improperly stacked or placed items, risks from entanglement, cuts, burns, or collisions during equipment operation or rotation, and risks from traffic accidents and falls during business travel. To address these risks, Avalue conducts occupational safety promotion, training, reminders for safe handling of materials, environmental tidying, and necessary personal protective measures to minimize the impact of routine operations on personnel safety and health.
Non-routine occupational hazards include equipment maintenance, emergency repairs, abnormal handling, emergency response, temporary relocation or adjustment of operations, and other non-standard operations. Due to the inherent uncertainty and immediate handling requirements of these operations, they may generate electric shock, entanglement, cuts, falls, abnormal equipment activation, chemical or dust exposure, and injuries due to emergency response. For non-routine operations, Avalue requires relevant personnel to confirm the risk status and necessary protective measures before the operation and to communicate, warn, isolate, or control based on the operational needs to avoid increasing the risk of occupational disasters due to temporary or abnormal operations.
For high-risk tasks, such as business trips, warehouse moving, and handling equipment abnormalities, Avalue provides necessary safety promotion and training, and continuously tracks related improvement measures and the health status of the workers to ensure that the workers can perform their duties in a safe and controlled environment. If employees discover during work that there is an immediate danger in the work environment, Avalue follows Article 18 of the Occupational Safety and Health Law and Article 25 of the Implementation Rules of the Occupational Safety and Health Law, informing and educating employees to immediately report and, if necessary, evacuate to a safe area. The company will not take adverse actions against employees for this reason, to ensure the safety and health of employees.
